HOW TO MAKE A CHRISTMAS BAUBLE WREATH
A few boxes of Baubles in 3 different sizes
- Pliers
- A Metal Coat hanger
- Tinsel
- Glue (hot glue gun works well)
- Battery Operated fairy lights (optional)
How to make it:
The first step is to make pull the coat hanger so it forms a circle
Then you need to unwrap the part where the hanger joins without breaking the hook part of the hanger. Use your pliers for this as your fingers won’t be strong enough for this unless you are the Hulk.
Once you have this open slide the baubles on in variant sizes along the hanger by the top of the bauble. I worked out roughly how many I will need first and then glued the tops to the baubles before adding these to the hanger, as some will pop off with the pressure that the baubles will be put under as you begin to build up your wreath.
Try and use the smaller Baubles to plug any holes that are formed between the larger ones. It’s best to approach this slowly and carefully, lifting the wreath every now and again to see how full and even it is looking.
Once you have as many baubles as you can possibly fit on the hanger, wrap the hook back around the other end of the hanger to form a closed circle.
Add your fairy lights at this stage by poking them though gaps in the baubles. It’s easier if this is done before the tinsel. Then use the tinsel to cover up any remaining holes and evening the wreath out. This will also add stability to your lights.
Once this is done you will have yourself a lovely looking bauble wreath.
